Google TV is a Smart TV / Connected TV platform from Google. It was announced on May 20, 2010, at Google’s Google I/O event and was co-developed by Google, Intel, Sony and Logitech. Google TV integrates Google’s Android operating system and the Linux version of Google Chrome browser to create an interactive television overlay on top of existing internet television and WebTV sites to add a 10-foot user interface.[1] Google TV officially launched October 6, 2010, with devices from Sony and Logitech.
(I will keep this updated as much as possible)
As Google TV is still pretty new, there are only a small number of devices

I'll be working on this thread more in the future, and I'm hoping to purchase a Sony Blu-Ray box with Google TV support, any users out there with Google TV?
I like my Revue that Google sent me :D
Can't wait for that Honeycomb update.
Does Google TV work worldwide?
Wouldn't it be easier to hook an actual computer up to a TV / large monitor?
I wish I could just install this on one of the...8? server boxes I have sitting around doing nothing.
I don't get exactly what google TV does.
I know it provides Youtube, Netflix, Webbrowsing n stuff, but how is the regular TV programming provided (e.g. NBC, Comedy Central, etc)
Is it free? Subscription? Have to have a separate Cable/Satellite provider?
You made me want a Google TV now.
Also, does it need a subscription or something?
google tv owns can't wait for the 3.1 update to roll out devices in the next month or so
having the whole internet available on your tv is probably the best thing on the planet, but when apps drop with 3.1 it will be a whole lot better because we'll get things like chrome to tv and be able to push links to google tv a lot better
my digital cable box and ps3 do everything google tv does, except for the full keyboard
If there had been a Google TV-equipped set that was <$300 I would have bought one four months ago.
I have one and it is pissing off my mother in terms of ease of use. We have a Comcast HD set-top, and an Onkyo AV Receiver. I think Google needs better keyboard shortcuts in terms of "Recall" because currently we can't go back a menu on the Comcast box without going into the menu, then advanced, then clicking recall with the Sony remote :/
I hope it updates soon with Apps, maybe someone (even myself) may create something that makes the system fool-proof.
For anyone interested in this they just dropped the price of the device by 200 dollars

Which frankly is a steal considering the keyboard in it alone is worth that much
I'd love it... but i'd never use it!

And now I want one. Badly.
So it's basically Android for your TV? Genius.
I just installed the Android 3.1 leak on my Revue.
Wow. It's awesome. Really, it's great. The Market is useless right now because the apps all say "incompatible" but that will pick up soon. The browser is faster, the UI is better, and it doesn't seem to be that buggy.

I want to install this but the uncertainty that there might not be an upgrade path out of that build worries me a ton
[editline]4th August 2011[/editline]
also it doesn't support netflix yet and I use netflix daily so
Is Hulu+ available to download?
When i saw this ( http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=8198552921666273502 ) I was thinking by my self : Great great! , but can u also watch tv on it ?

Thats logitech not sony :)??? And does not include a tv.
I've been debating on this. While I do have a computer hooked up to my TV, you can only do one function at a time. In addition, Netflix on TiVo isn't too polished. Would provide a better platform for me. Possibly. I think I'll pick one up today.
I've had my Sony internet TV for a month now. It's pretty great because we just switched from cable to directv and being able to search for the name of the channel rather than actually remembering the channel number has proved very useful. And we're getting Honeycomb next week!

Not sure if that screen is available in the current version, I've never seen it but it looks very useful.
I ended up getting it for $50 from someone on CL a while ago. Loving it so far. I'm on the Honeycomb leak right now. I've put a lot of apps on to test them. Some work, some don't. But that is the nature of it.
I've had the Sony Google TV since launch. My only qualm is the massive input lag. Has anyone noticed any fixes?

Like punching in numbers for TiVo or lag time in Chrome bringing search up?
Looks like I'll probably be grabbing a Revue soon, to cut cable costs. Goal: Bring the Xfinity triple play down from $160 to ~$120.
