Game looks pretty bad ass.
This looks pretty awesome.
Hopefully there are more weapons than just that one single stupid wrist thing.
Instagib?
Hopefully there are more weapons than just that one single stupid wrist thing.
I hope not. It's harder to create new weapons and have them both balanced and different. I hope they are going to stay with this simple laser tag of the future style - weapons aren't going to make this game be interesting for longer. Maps and custom gamemodes are! Where everyone is equal, with (imo) the best possible weapon to be in a arcadeish fps game - slow, pinpoint accuracte one hit kill projectile based weapon. Don't forget that it's also about movement! There's no speed penalty for dodging, so dodge as much as you can!
It looks good, but adding dubstep to most new games is stupid. "Lets appeal to our new generation with Dubstep!" Hah. No.

This does look kind of stupid, but when you mention its all about accuracy and movement precision in custom maps I guess it sounds cool. Just wish it wasn't "Laser tag of the future".
some gore would liven up the fights, rather than the after-images imo.

In any case, rumor has it that there's custom scripting, so it could be possible to put in new weapons and powerups, or other similar things. While it looks cool in its base form, if ShootMania had modability like that, you could practically make any sort of shooter out of it. Which is an awesome thought.
some gore would liven up the fights, rather than the after-images imo.
I disagree completely. It's nice to see a shooting game that doesn't necessarily involve blood and gore.

I can't wait to play this, finally a modern shooter that isn't all tacticool. Also I can imagine that the trackmania-esque map editor and gamemode editor will spawn a lot of interesting content. [editline]24th May 2012[/editline] Also the trailer is pornographic.
