Am I screwed? - General - Facepunch Forum

Before I you say anything this isn't about warez. I uninstalled my CoD:WaW a couple months ago..well I recently decided I wanted to install it again...but...the thin ass piece of paper that goes on the inside of the case is gone..you know that one with the CD Key...I'm pretty sure its gone for good even though I will keep looking for it but does anyone know anyway I could get the key (Not warez) maybe from my callofduty.com account or something? Has anyone had this happen to them before?

This is why i buy games from Steam, i like to have the CDs but i fucking always lose the CD keys. I've had to buy battlefield 4 times now :(

Had that happen to me with CoD4. Reformatted my computer and went to reinstall. Even contacted the game company and got nothing. You're screwed.

Yeah if it weren't for DRMs shit we would be so much happier. I bought Mass Effect 2 and I had to do some digital acrobatics because it said that my [I]only[/I] disk drive was being used to copy data off of the disk onto [I]another[/I] disk. What.
