looking for battery life. Also how are the screens? I'd imagine not so amazing since I am 99.9% sure they are all TN but how good (or bad) of a TN panel are they?

The latter would be the best option.
Wait for the C7 to get sold refurbished for $130 again, install ChrUbuntu. It will be a great little machine for a good few years. Otherwise they are not worth full price (and please don't buy the Pixel even if you have the money.)
