Will Battlefield 2 and Project Reality work on my computer? (I'm putting in a slightly newer and better graphics card soon, the Nvidia GT 5200 or something like that) Here are the specs : Display: Card name: Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller Manufacturer: Intel Corporation Chip type: Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller DAC type: Internal Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2572&SUBSYS_815A104D&REV_02 Display Memory: 96.0 MB Current Mode: 1280 x 1024 (32 bit) (60Hz) Monitor: Plug and Play Monitor Monitor Max Res: 1600,1200 Driver Name: ialmrnt5.dll Driver Version: 6.14.0010.4396 (English) DDI Version: 9 (or higher) Drive: C: Free Space: 137.8 GB Total Space: 152.6 GB I didn't put all of it because I used Dxdiag and I have no idea what all I should put up but that stuff seemed important. Oh, and I have 1 gig of RAM. And will I be able to run it?

If anyone can tell me how to show my specs better please do. And will I be able to run it?
No. BF2 will barely run at all (if at all), let alone Project Reality which effectively doubles the texture and model data rendered on screen. Time to get new hardware.
What about with the other card though?
Are you sure you aren't thinking of the FX5200? If so, I don't think that will work either. FYI: - BF2 Minimum Specification: CPU: 1.7 Ghz RAM: 512 Mb Video Card: NVidia GeForce FX 5700, ATI Radeon 8500 or ATI Radeon 9500 with 128 Mb of RAM
Impossible, your hardware is too outdated; Pentium 4s and the like were released 4-5 years ago, time for an upgrade!
Son of a fucking bitch. Thank you. So wait, graphics cards have their own RAM? I'm not really good with computers sorry. But if I buy the FX 5700 will it have 128 mb of RAM?
I can't buy a whole new computer, I'm virtually broke :( double toast

You'd be much better off buying one of the newer cheap GPUs though.
You can buy the FX5700 and it will have 128 MB of RAM located on the card, which the GPU uses. But even then, its pretty pointless upgrading an outdated computer with an outdated graphics card. You're better off saving up and getting a completely new computer, although you could probably pick up a 6600 GT AGP for next to nothing and that would most likely do what you want for a while... AGP graphics cards are common on eBay, look there and see if you can pick up anything from either the ATI 9x00 series or the nVidia 6x00 series upwards.

I think the OP has a Dell machine, and as far as I know, they removed the AGP slots from their motherboards to stop upgrading.
OK, thank you. Fuck. I can't wait to get a job. [editline]05:05PM[/editline] Will Gmod atleast work with the other card?
