• Looking to buy a Printer

I need to buy a printer. Nothing fancy. Not going to use it for any heavy-duty jobs or photos. Just something simple. I need ideas, Facepunch. As long as it's a simple printer that the paper won't jam up on me frequently like my old one. Also it has to be 64-bit compatible, because I use Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
I have a hp officejet pro 8500 and it is nice net workable with Ethernet but if you are looking for cheap it is kinda of a no go but it works right off the bat with win 7 64 bit.

Yeah. Only the wealthy could afford something like that.
If it's just for black and white shit you can't go wrong with a HP Laser Printer - Toner Carts are only £30 and good for 1,500 pages.
What about Wireless printers? Are they any good?
do you need it to be wireless? i've got an hp laserjet p1005, it's pretty killer.
What about Wireless printers? Are they any good?
I have not heard good things about wireless printers.
Cheapest for medium-usage is USB B&W Laser. If you print just few pages a week I'd just get one of those 30 quid inkjets. Sure, replacement ink costs as much as the printer, but then again do you ever need to replace it if you don't print much.
I'm not sure where you live, but if you're in the states, just go to Walmart and get a $30 Canon ip2600. I believe that's how much it was, anyways. It's fine for just printing essays and papers and all that. I haven't had any problems with it, anyways. It came with a cable, too.
This is relevant to my interests. But for me, I just want a printer. I don't want the added size with a scanner, and It needs to be as small as possible.
I agree with everyone who says a black and white laser printer. The toner doesn't dry up or go bad, no nozzles to clog and the toner lasts a LONG time.
What is your Budget? I bought myself a Canon MP550 nad it is really good. It was good for the money. It has individual tanks and good printing and it also has a scanner. I am using it with 64bit Windows 7 so It shoudn't have any troubles. It was $149 but I am in Australia.....
