I need some help!
So, I personally have very, well basic knowledge of how computers run and what they need to be at optimal performance.
I know that I need something more like an i7 than an i5, I have an i5 right now and it can't handle all that I want to do.
I need help picking the best parts to create the best build I can afford.
I have a $2300 budget.
I need, a computer, monitor, mouse, and keyboard.
I am a graphic designer and a gamer.
SO I need a computer that can run Adobe products at their best as well as gaming at its best!
This should handle any load you can throw at it with ease. Great quality components all around with plenty of future expandability.

(The case may be a bit big for your preferences, I'd suggest the Corsair 500r or the Fractal Design R4 if you want a smaller one)
Thank you for all of this help, I really apreciate it.
What do you think about these parts?
A good friend suggested them.

The GPU is far, far less powerful, the motherboard is for an AMD CPU, which would not give you nearly the same performance, and RAM is RAM, which that G.Skill is $30 more expensive.
okay
Also, I prefer windows 7 to 8.
You could try Windows 10 Technical Preview. Despite it being a technical preview, it's incredibly stable and after using Win7 for over 3 years, I'm enjoying it quite a bit. It's also free.
Windows 8.1 compared to 7, from what I've heard, is a decent enough OS that has optimizations from Windows 7. And on top of that, you'll most likely get a good discount when upgrading to Windows 10 once it's completely released.
Why not 7? You can use a program like classic shell to put a start menu on, I haven't used metro ever on my desktop. I really do suggest 8 because it improves a lot of the back-end and runs noticeably faster.
The only reason to go with win 7 anymore is if you're on a tight budget and already have a key. There's seriously nothing wrong with 8.1
I had experiences where I tried to help my friend get Photoshop on her windows 8 and I had a lot of trouble finding the control panel and such.
Then on another I tried to delete the excess stuff the have.
That was unsuccessful as well.
I find it to be so different from 7, to the point of confusion.
Hey! So I have a lot of family members involved in this build, so that creates some issues on my end.
What do you think about this list my dad made?
I guess he's trying to make it cheaper...
It's my grandparents money, so life isn't all golden.

Theres nothing wrong with that cooler it is cheaper but it does the job perfectly. The cpu is overboard and wont do you any good in gaming possible even worse than second guy suggested. Also that mobo again while making it cheaper they are making it more expensive on other parts while it is not neccesary at all. Keep with the Z97 the second guy suggested.
go for 16gb of ram if your a graphic desighner it does not even need to be 2100mhz. as for monitor in that build please go with asus or dell / benq nobody can really help any more than what the second guy in this thread posted those were good specs except for the case which shudnt be that big. you can drop price like with going for a 24inch monitor but i really suggest to get an IPS display one.
Thank you!
Go with at the very least 2 sticks of ram as well.

I'd also say you don't need such a lux keyboard for that much, also, the power supply shouldn't be skimped on. Get a evga or corsair instead

The benefits of dual channel are very little. Also, Seasonic is the #1 PSU brand, it's an excellent model.
