I don't know how they can really improve on the new controller, its a rather good design in my opinion.
you're gonna need it for when you clutch it in rage when your internet interupts the always on DRM
I don't know how they can really improve on the new controller, its a rather good design in my opinion.
Some more grippy materials on the thumbsticks is about the only thing i can think off, and even that's not that major
Just give us a better d-pad. The 360's is atrocious.
I've always found the Xbox controller to be to big. But from what I've gathered it's just me
I've always found the Xbox controller to be to big. But from what I've gathered it's just me
The original xbox controller was perfect for my hands and that thing is huge.
Original xbox controller was horribly designed.
It's always fun trying to press a single direction No god dammit I don't want to press all of them
Even more fun in Dark Souls. Boss battle, switching to health potion from something else. Oh let's unequip your weapon mid combat as well!
I don't know how they can really improve on the new controller, its a rather good design in my opinion.
The need to make it easier for non-gamers.
The need to make it easier for non-gamers.
Just one big button in the middle that does everything for you.
Had fun spending six years getting used to our controller??? guess what
I dont imagine it will be anything major. Probably a new way to deal with the battery pack since some peoples fingers hit that, grippier joy sticks, and a tighter D-Pad. Im sure most of it will stay about the same. Or they could get weird on us and make big grooves for your fingers to hold the bumpers, to force people into using two fingers that way.
Just give us a better d-pad. The 360's is atrocious.
I actually have the controller shown in the picture. The d-pad is absolutely wonderful on that new controller. Plus, it switches.
Had fun spending six years getting used to our controller??? guess what
Honestly, getting used to a controller takes several days at most. I don't know how you could improve the ergonomics of the 360 controller, it's a really good design except for the horrible d-pad. Perhaps add a better materail to the thumbsticks, my sticks are heavily used and the rubber has already dissolved. I hope that they don't include useless gimmicks like a screen or something.

I have to say that I also have some issues with the ps3 controller but that's only because I seldom play with a ps3 controller. But at times I got to a friend where we play for some time and I get quickly used to it. But's really a matter of preference.
Consoles should have several models of controllers so people can choose their favorite. I wish I could use the sony dualshock controller on everything.
If the 360 controller had a better battery solution, a better d-pad, and wasn't as easy to get dirty from normal use, I'd say it's about as good as a controller can possibly get.
Had fun spending six years getting used to our controller??? guess what
Wait, you seem to be condemning them for suggesting a controller redesign? Have you... Even SEEN Nintendo?
err what the hell I used the 360 controller for a total of like 4 times with no more than two hours each session, and I had absolutely no problems whatsoever getting used to it?
i bet they integrate the battery pack into the insides of the controler using Lithium ion, making them rediculously expensive to purchase, but you never need a battery ever again and it never really dies, seems like the only sensable way to do an update of an almost 7 year old design, possibly update it with added grippy material but i doubt it only because the origanal 360 rubber got nasty when used alot, either way i prefer my mouse and keyboard over a controler anyday, mainly because i havent found one that doesn't hurt after playing for only like an hour, and make me pissed off at how inaccurate they are for FPSs
There won't be a controller, just the Kinect 2.0. I mean what could be more ergonomic than your own body? :v:
360 Controller was already perfect, id say 360 best for any FPS and Gamecube controller perfect for anything else.
Fix the d-pad (ps2's d-pad was fantastic, steal that), get rid of those little pointy bits on the thumbsticks that dig into you after playing for a few hours and fix the squeaky triggers and then it's perfect.
I guess they could put memory foam padding on it. And not put the thumb sticks in retarded positions.
I guess they could put memory foam padding on it. And not put the thumb sticks in retarded positions.
The stick placement is my favorite thing about the Xbox controller, I've always hated the Playstation style.
They should improve the flimsy quality as well. They break way too easily.
I've never been a big fan of the Xbox controller. The d-pad is really terrible. In addition to that I just cannot get used to the buttons being in XYAB order instead of the SNES's YXBA order and it really impacts me playing about any game on their system. I prefer the Dualshock style controllers myself. The only thing I like better about the Xbox one is the trigger buttons. [editline]21st March 2013[/editline] Actually I'm not sure how accurate my criticism of the SNES controller is, I never played on one.
