I played a game of TF2, sound was working perfectly, when I quit and went to start Gmod the audio just stopped working, I plugged a different set of speakers in but it didn't help any. I have 5.1 surround sound if that matters. I checked the audio settings in the volume panel, nothing was muted.
Did you try restarting?
