I'm arguing whether or not to get Windows7 64bit. I can have more space for RAM but I've heard that some games don't work at all on it. I don't have many old games but I'd hope SWAT4 would work becuae that's like the best old game that I have.
I have 7 Professional x64, I haven't had any problems with any programs yet (with the exception of some shitty dell printer driver that decided to create a "Program Files (x86) (x86)" folder and not actually install, but the last revision of that was in 2007, and Windows managed to install the driver properly by itself)
I'll go ahead and try my copy of SWAT 4, but I'm almost 100% sure it will work.
Running 7 pro 64 bit and it runs flawlessly. Haven't had any compatibility issues yet.
I run Vista Home Premium x64 and the only program I haven't got to work is Steam (which im not sure is Vista's fault. Though I dont know what it is :/
Run as admin so it can install the service.
I'm running Win7 x64 home premium. No problems.
I'm pretty sure it can run anything newer than like 15 years old.

This is me as well.
I run Win7 x64 Ultimate and i have no problems too.
If your PC is capable of 64bit then get 64bit, unless you run programs from pre 2000.
I am running Win 7 Ultimate x64. I would recommend it, no problems so far and it is heaps better than XP and 32bit.
you could. but it can get a black screen easily if not used properly. other than that i had vista 64Bit and it never got a bsod and i got i in 2008
