This is what Dead Space 3 should've been. It wasn't creepy at all. I guess the Unitologists completely snapped without Danik to lead them?
I SMELL REUSED ENVIRONMENTS!
Considering you go there in the default game and this DLC takes place in Conning Tower, another area in the default game, I'm going to go with no shit.
Could someone like, copy and paste the article or something. The site isn't working for me.

I seriously almost broke something when I realized it because the first time you go through it it's GENUINELY UNSETTLING, and after the lackluster first half of the game really felt like some effort was put into it's presentation and pacing, and then they just wholesale recycle it as if it's some cutout and the game turns into a gears of war monster mash from then on. What a fucking waste of a game.

I’d intended to write a reminder to be annoyed about it on a post-it note because it was announced before the game had even been released and contained what sounded very much like the end of the story. Even though I enjoyed Isaac’s latest escapade, it didn’t leave me wanting more, which is perhaps why I’d forgotten all about The Awakened. It’s out tomorrow and there’s a trailer below. If you haven’t finished Dead Space 3, plan to, and care about the story as well as the severance, beware. Carver slapping Isaac is the best. Can we have an Odd Couple themed sequel starring the two of them sharing an apartment on some horrible moon colony? Isaac would always be moping and hallucinating about his dead friends and lovers, and Carver would yell at him for babbling inanely while the big game is on TV, or gibbering and swearing at the dishes instead of washing them. Despite The Slap, The Awakened does seem to be at least a little bit spookier than the base game.
Left for dead on Tau Volantis, Isaac Clarke and John Carver face a daunting journey. As madness takes hold, they find they can’t trust their eyes or each other. The trek leads to the ship Terra Nova, now home to a sadistic cult of Unitologists.
Damn those Unitologists. Price should be around $9.99.
You know, I could at least excuse Severed for DS2 since it was a parallel but otherwise separate story covering the fate of characters from Extinction. But after the shitty cliffhanger ending of DS3 and people guessing that they're going to reuse levels from the main game for this, is it really worth pissing off a fanbase to essentially sell the real ending as priced DLC or something? I mean, it might not be an ending or even continue more cliffhangers/extensions so they get as much money out of it, but this doesn't seem to be getting backlash like the True Ending DLC of Asura's Wrath did. Guess we'll have to wait 'till tomorrow to see.
$10 spookyness dlc, wasn't expecting dlc content to sink this low.
