• Which distro is best for this laptop?

Hey Facepunch, I was wondering which distro would be best for my old laptop. Its a dell inspiron 6000, equiped with: 1.7 GHZ pentium M 1 gig of ram 80 GB hdd GMA 950 Faster than the average net-book :smug: Ive tried out kubuntu Net-top remix and I loved it. Any hardware light and easy to use distros out there?

Any hardware light and easy to use distros out there?[/QUOTE] If you are looking for something easy to get used to Linux, I'd recommend Linux Mint; you won't need to rely on the terminal too much at first, but its always there for when you do decide to start using it. Otherwise I'd suggest Arch, its as light as you make it, and easy to use after the initial setup.
Check out JoliCloud as well. Arch is my favourite distro; if you are good with terminal then go for it.
I'd also recommend Arch Linux. Is very light. But, if you're not so good on terminal then go for ArchBang, is live cd and easy to install.
