Soldiers everywhere are getting in on this. Except me.
That shit looks cash. Now all we need is an official Steampunk map.
It's made by WETA Workshot. Do I buy it, or just wait?
Should have been for the Engineer. :colbert:
Am I the only one that searched all over the update page for secret links?
Surprised I couldn't find one.

I'm rather suspicious of that rocket at the bottom of the page. If it wasn't for the thing about the WETA booth I would be certain that it's hinting that this is going to continue. I'm still pretty hopeful, though.

and that Valve loves to build up suspense and hype. Maybe they'll release Meet the Pyro sooner than we thought
It's just me or the new Soldier weapons are overpowered?
It's just me or the new Soldier weapons are overpowered?
Its not just you, but its certainly not correct.
sigh...This game is going in a weird direction...

And on the third rocket discovery/day/whatever when we'll expect Meet the Pyro, suddenly we'll get "Half-Life 2: Episode 3 Released"
And then we'll be like
"Oh god dammit I was really looking forward to Meet the Pyro, it's the one I always WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT"
Hehe, guns with teats.
coherent art style? lol what's that

Except none of this will happen.
Who designed these weapon stats? Do they have no concept of balance? All you need to do is have the weapons deal at least half the damage they already do, and you have balance!
Obviously this isn't the only way to balance weapons, but it probably works in this case

Seeing lazers being put into TF2 made me rage. Why Valve....

I think they ray guns actually fit the '60s theme they were going for.
tf2 is officially ruined beyond repair
wtg valve
again

This is easily the most retarded update since they added medieval crap to the game.
I don't mind them adding new stuff but they seem really overpowered

The ray gun is balanced in that the projectile goes slow as fuck. The launcher on the other hand has relatively fast shot speed, it still has splash damage, and for whatever reason you can rocket jump with lasers. Also it has five shots, more than any other rocket launcher, and it disables buildings. Lack of random crits isn't really an issue.

Splash damage, like any other RL
Fast shot speed, same speed as the default RL
1 more rocket, okay, that's a plus.
It disables buildings, if you fire a charged shot which eats all 5 rockets, then you gotta reload all 5 of them (one more, remember?) it's also a double edged sword ability, as you're pretty much defenseless while it charges up, plus, the loud "VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV" and weapon going fuck crazy is usually an indicator of when to back up or pump lead into the soldier.
Oh, let me remind you how you forgot it can't do shit on its own against any buildings (including mini sentries), which is when the TEAM part of TEAM Fortress comes into play, where the soldier will have his team backing him up, and your team backing you up, but you seem to be one of these people who always "forget" to include the "-'s" of a weapon they deem overpowered and always make it look like they're alone vs and entire team.

Well, there goes the last bit of TF2's original art style...
Well, there goes the last bit of TF2's original art style...
huh i thought that happened with the shogun update
or the medieval update
or the
fuck i don't even know anymore
if anything i'd say this is "closer" to what they were originally going for but i use that term very loosely
Well, there goes the last bit of TF2's original art style...
I thought the sixties was all about science fiction.
