• So I recorded myself reading wikipedia articles while getting speech jammed

So I had this awesome idea of trying to read wikipedia articles while getting speech jammed using Stutterbox, I recorded it using Vocaroo. Couldn't finish this one:
Article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florian_Andrighetto My attempt: http://vocaroo.com/i/s1U8BGwPOjm4
So I try another:
Article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hentz,_Reid_%26_Adler My Attempt: http://vocaroo.com/i/s00h5Sx2jg2P
So another Facepuncher suggested I tried out spreeder while getting speech jammed. Gonna try this now. [editline]13th April 2015[/editline] Edit: I can't even do that, even on the lowest possible setting(that definately isn't 1 word per minute) it's not working. God I sound so fucked up when I try to read these things, but I am taking requests if you think something would be funny to be read loudly by a speech jammed dude. You could do it yourself, for extra awkward credits!
wow that seriously fucks with you
wow that seriously fucks with you
Yeah it does and I think it's fucking hilarious. A friend sent me this pastebin and it just sounds so fucking weird and NSFW: http://pastebin.com/Dn51fHCx I might consider recording myself reading this, but it's up for grabs if anybody dares trying this :v: Disclaimer: I am not on any psychoactives, the only thing besides speech jammer that fucks with me is slight sleep deprivation. Update: Got Spredder working. Gonna smoke then I'll come back and see if I can fart out something :v:
this is placebo
this is placebo
Would you elaborate? I didn't believe in this but having your own voice echo back into your speakers at that exact latency is distracting as fuck to me and a load of other people.
Yeah, I keep trying this at different delay settings and it doesn't do shit for me. Am I doing it wrong?
Yeah, I keep trying this at different delay settings and it doesn't do shit for me. Am I doing it wrong?
Same, only words I fuck up are the words I'd fuck up even without having the playback on.
I don't think imagine it being a problem because singers and speakers deal with it just fine right?
When I missed around with the concept on a friend's mac, we had to change it by .1 seconds a few times to see which got us the best results. Not everyone is effected. Have an article of a guy doing real research into it: Linkity
I think it works better if it's playing back at a louder volume than your own voice; this way it becomes what you primarily hear and it fucks you up
I don't think imagine it being a problem because singers and speakers deal with it just fine right?
You can make sound play back through headphones with imperceptible delay.
Yeah, I keep trying this at different delay settings and it doesn't do shit for me. Am I doing it wrong?
200 ms to 210 ms should do the job, so 0.2 or 0.21 I think.
What is Speech jammed?
What is Speech jammed?
Basically its when you run a program or use a device that echos your speech back into your ears, usually a very specific delay in milliseconds has an effect, for me its 200 to 210 ms and it seems to work like that for a lot of people. Try putting on stutterbox and try and say a whole sentence with it, works for some and doesn't for some other.
