Is it me or does the static fur look way better than the animated stuff, at least on the wolf's body and back leg

It could be less wavy there since the hair is shorter.
The simulated wolf looks so fluffy and cute though!

I'd be willing to bet that it was exaggerated for demonstration's sake. I thought the fur around the front legs still looked pretty cool, though I kinda doubt it'd be actively noticed in-game.
Imagine how out of place and inconsistent the dog will look like between all the low res textures and low poly models.

There are high resolution textures and models included in the PC version.
But for some reason they can't be used.

Have to increase the space the game takes up on my harddrive somehow, right?

Bad port.

They seriously released it without an AC.
Doesn't even has VAC like MW line does.
Woo, now I can go to stab some camping cunt and get my face mauled off in HD.

you do realize that wolf was from the Witcher 3 right?
^ and that this is a tech demo, and the hair physics will be specifically altered by an artist to make it fit the context.
I wonder how many frames will it drop on my PC ;(

They'd better have optimized it more than the Tomb Raider tech. On my old graphics card it was fine running TressFX at 60fps during gameplay, but when there was a closeup of Lara in cutscenes the game would slow down to 25fps (I'm assuming because it had to simulate and render so much hair in high detail) which is just atrocious.

The news title and the entire first paragraph, along with the knowledge that there's wolves in CoD: Ghosts, did a really good job of leading me astray. v:v:v Totally glossed over the single sentence above the video.
It doesn't change what I was saying though, you'd be hard-pressed to notice moving fur in fast-paced action.

yeah, but anyone who plays video games knows there's those moments when you look at whatever you're playing and think to yourself "wow this actually looks amazing", all the details make that happen.

Never in my life have I done that in a CoD game though...

well isn't that the point of this
People don't look past the title
jfc it's not CoD it's Witcher 3
I'm pretty sure if the title mentioned witcher 3 instead of cod nearly 100% of those funnies would be winners :v:
either way this is cool as shit, can't wait to see this used in a game I'll actually play
