I'm going to play a prank on a friend by changing his Windows startup sound to a low-frequency buzzing or humming noise that lasts at least 8 hours or so (something that'll run the entire time). I got the idea from someone else.
Anyway, it is pretty easy to do, but I'm having trouble finding a proper .mp3.
Does anyone have an .mp3 or .wav of a buzzing or humming noise that'll run for many hours?
Thanks.
Dunno if this is a legit site but:

Just make it loop or use some audio editing program.
I'm exporting a three-hour-long humming noise.
There will be four frequencies:
105.11Hz
125.00Hz
117.98Hz
88.39Hz
All of these will be sine.
Unfortunately, it's going to be 908 MB, but you wanted it long, so when it's done, you'll get it long.
I can wait.
Also, I double checked, and it seems Windows only accepts .wav files for Windows sounds, so upload it as a .wav.
Thanks.
Here, do this too.
Take a screenshot of his desktop with the taskbar showing (if it autohides).
Use the screenshot as his background wall-paper.
Hide any icons or shortcuts on his desktop. In xp it's
Right click desktop
Goto Arrange Icons By->
Uncheck Show Desktop Icons.
Then resize his taskbar down so it no longer shows at all.
He'll be clicking everywhere trying to figure out whats wrong, maybe even reformat :D.
Never noticing that the icons on the desktop are just part of the background.
