Yay for tits with dynamic lightning!
Particles!
Damn, this looks great.
So...sexy
Fuck yeah Unreal.
Jesus christ, stop talking and give me the dev kit already. I want to learn how to use that shit. (also give me a computer capable of running the engine, good grief)
Those particles are incredible.
Next console generation needs to be a quantum leap, eh ?
I don't think rendering Avatar in realtime would be too far out with this engine. I mean, you'd have to shave off like 80% of the polygons but as far as everything else goes it's more the technology behind it (the mocap and stuff) that made it all look ultra-realistic. Everything else at this point is pretty much trivial with the UE4 alternatives to lighting and post-processing effects in play.
I can't wait to get my hands on this.
so i guess with unreal engine 4 we don't need to cook anything anymore?
Fucking awesome. Can't wait to see games using this.
Everything looks pretty great, except there is one thing. I AM A PERSON NOT A FUCKING CAMERA LENS.
Now you can make changes while you change your changes and changes while you change that.

To be honest, I really don't care too much about the cutscenes although they do look nice. The in game graphics look awesome though! Good work Epic!
I really like all the advancements in the graphics and visuals, but I wonder when we reach a point where all the improvements are minimal. Besides, how the fuck can I afford a pc that can run this kind of visuals? I am not exactly poor but it is ridiculous. Always upgrading your pc is a nuisance and very costly. Now I rely on consoles to play games that my rig is not able to run.
looks ALMOST like your typical CGI cutscene, and that's an achievement

A lot of people who have these high end machines saves they money until the can get their PC of their dreams.
Is this really rendered in realtime with 60+ frames per second? On todays hardware?
Is this really rendered in realtime with 60+ frames per second? On todays hardware?
Its probably 1 GTX 680.
And then 1 year later you have a shitty computer again.
No, you can make a decent computer last for 6+ years.
Cheesus I seriously love that editor.
Looks great. Between this and whatever Square-Enix does with their new engine, we're going to have some real stunners next generation.
The editor interface seems to add a more easy feel to it by the look of the video. I can't wait to see what this is like.
I'm just glad they finally ditched the abomination that was UnrealScript. C++ woo!
it totally looks like one of blizzards cgis, except in realtime awesome
I imagine exploring northrend or outland on unreal engine 4. Just like that, I need to change my pants.
Out of all of that, I was most impressed with how he was in the editor the entire time, and could just on the fly edit and move shit around, then be right back in it
