Restarted school system, I was an administrator until I logged out

Okay, well my school (along with every other school) mainly run http://www.c2kni.net/.
I was completing a powerpoint presentation today in ICT class and my system with XP Professional SP2 randomly restarted with my removable storage inserted. I assumed "Okay, this is my school, it sucks, nothing unusual" but when I login again I have administrator privileges, this was a big deal to me considering how our student accounts are as basic as possible, we don't even have a control panel.
So this was cool, but when I logout and login again, I'm back to the usual student privledges.
How would this occur? I assumed that maybe the network glitched and perhaps I logged in at the exact same time as an account with administrator privileges?
Thanks

next time add yourself to the administrator list.
That happened to me all the time. Every time it would I would change the reso to something bigger than 1024x768.

God. 1024x768 is UNBAREABLE.
Anyways, you should of added your self to the Admin list. Then you could highjack the network :P
If I wanted to "hijack" the network I would be more silent about it, I just wanted to ask to see if anyone knew what would actually cause this, only due to curiosity, I don't care what privileges I have, I'm there to do work.

I actually know someone who did it, he just got his privladeges removed :derp:
3/10 times when I log into my schools computer I get into the administrator account

Ahh, the wonders of Windows Server 2003.
I am correct right?

Wait, your school has monitors bigger than 1024x728?? Only a select few teachers at our school even have 1280x1024 monitors.

Our shitty 15" CRT monitors only go up to 1280x1024.
You could also make a new account and make that an admin.

True.

I see. All our computers have little crappy 5 year old 15" LCD monitors.

Same. :/

Oh wait, I'm stupid. ONE computer lab out of five has 3 year old Core 2 Duo Dell machines with 1280x1024 screens. Too bad they aren't used for any classes that they would be useful in like Multimedia (Photoshop and crap like that). Other computers can barely run it worth a damn.

Can it run Counter Strike Source above 640x480 on medium?

Most likely not. The admins somehow fucked with DirectX somehow so everything that uses it runs at HALF SPEED. No matter what. Screensavers, SNES emulators, everything. Even the old Pentium 4's have the same problem. I have no idea how they did it, but they did it.

Hardware Accelaration levels.
We can just barely run it on the P4s
Pentium Duals can do 1024x768 high before it becomes noticable,
Even the laptops can do 1440x900 at high with 2x AA.
That's crazy. Our school computers don't do that.

That would make sense. I had no idea it would make that much of a difference though. Because sweet Jesus my Pentium II can emulate SNES games perfectly.
And the newer ones have intel 950 chipsets. It would run, just not great.
I wouldn't even bother on the Pentium 4's. Photoshop constantly crashes saying something along the lines of a GPU error.

Lol.
Lol.
I bet the GPU error has something to do with them setting hardware acceleration low. So that's great, they actually are screwing with people trying to get legit work done. Aren't they awesome.

not really.
not really.
Well, isn't kind of odd that CS4 will run (perfectly, albeit slow) on an ancient Celeron system with intel 810E graphics (hence my computer), yet struggles on far more modern computers?
Ill say it again. Hardware accelarations. Set your 810 to minimal and watch the reports fly in. Besides we get to do what ever fuck we wanted last year. Now the R drive (where we used to put css) has a write protection. . Bye bye my torrent of FRAPS

That never happens at my school, the only time anything close to that happened was when the web filtering went down so we got to go on w/e sites we wanted. My school is too good, it's not fair, some schools are so shit you just need to connect to the IP of the site to get past the filtering software, doesn't work here. We also never get admin privileges, maybe that's cos it's a private school so they have more money to invest in things that work properly.
Dude above. I feel for you. =(
I have never got any admin privileges at my school
