And then people find a way to spam accounts and fill up the entire planet within a week.
btw what happened to the guy that won the curiosity thing ? is he even working on the game ?
So this is basically Populous Online? I like. The art style could be a little nicer, though.

Well, the surface area of Jupiter is 61 419 000 000 km^2
So assuming each player gets at least 1 km^2 that's ... 61 419 000 000 total colonies
I hate to admit it but it looks very interesting and I'm curious as hell.

He gets given weekly tasks to do/decisions to make regarding the overall game world and can do stuff like set the weather of the world to what it is in his home town (Edinburgh), etc. I'm not sure of the exact specifics. At the end of his 6 month period he can be challenged by members of the community to a PVP battle and the winner takes his place as the master of the game.
He also gets substantial royalties
Man Molyneux has been through a lot lately and I hope this succeeds, he deserves it.
Molyneux is a genius. Truly the best implementation of always online DRM...
But seriously, why spent so much time working on a feature, which due to the huge surface area, most people will never see?
I will probably buy this, it looks amazing even at this stage and I never really played a god game before.
Promises that won't be fulfilled and will result in disappointment.
Expect the worst or you will be disappointed.
Eh I'm still going to buy it, it looks pretty good even in it's current stage and as long as it's not over $50 I won't have too much of a problem purchasing it.
I still wish my name was Moneylux...

He'll be setting the weather to what its like in Scotland all the time? Fuck, prepare for this to be the grayest fucking game ever.
He'll be setting the weather to what its like in Scotland all the time? Fuck, prepare for this to be the grayest fucking game ever.
He can change it to anything, that was just an example.

The God of Godus gets royalties. When somebody else gets the throne they get to change the rules of the game, but also get royalties.
He doesn't get to be God of Godus AND get royalties, they are mutually exlusive.

wot.
as you said, "The God of Godus gets royalties."
therefore he does get to be God of Godus AND get royalties.

The thing is that most people think he gets royalities because he tapped the last cube in Curiosity and that he also got to be the God of Godus. Could have been better worded for sure.
