Lesbians are genetically superior than everyone else at gaming. It's science.
what the hell
I can sort of understand the trans rule, or at least kind of see where they're coming from. (I assume it's the same reason trans women can't compete in female olympic sports) the gay rule is completely weird though
I don't know why people still bother doing gender-restricted events. It ends up being a huge mess because of how blurry gender identities are. Just act gender-blind and be done with it.
I thought garena dies years ago. Now I know they still exist and are not doing alright.
This is one of the only times when physical differences don't matter. Why would you segregate E-Sports based on sex?
But doesn't the next Valve-official tourney involve two female teams?
what is one tournament out of hundreds?
what is one tournament out of hundreds?
Because it's the largest one? As far as I am concerned most tournies do not have female/male restrictions.

[editline]3rd February 2015[/editline] I don't understand. I asked why they should be segregated, and you answer with exactly why they shouldn't as an argument for why they should?

More males play Esports therefore we must host female-only tournaments? Wouldn't it be fairer for everyone to just disregard the participants' gender?
I don't get it. More males play Esports therefore we must host female-only tournaments? Though I do see why people think these kind of things only support segregation of gender, I believe that if someone (not garena, obviously) can do it right, it should help boost the number of women in the professional e-sport scene. All it takes is a little bit of finesse, which Garena does not have proven by excluding gay/trans women.
Do they also have female only chess league? This is ridiculous. Just let mixed teams play.
Do they also have female only chess league?
Yup
Yup
Chess is a lot more sexist than I thought.

Especially if it's done through unfair treatment? As long as everybody is provided the same opportunity, there's no discrimination taking place. This is akin to fixing gender quotas, and just as useless at fixing whatever problem was there in the first place.
Chess is a lot more sexist than I thought.
It's not sexist, for some reason they are just not competitive as men. 1413 male grandmasters compared to 31 female. Because of it they even made up a Woman grandmaster title. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_chess_grandmasters

All the sexist grandmasters discourage women from entering.
But not everyone is provided the same opportunity yet.
... And making gender-restricted tournaments doesn't solve that problem in the slightest. I didn't imply they were provided equal opportunity either, I wish bad reading was back.
