• Buggy internet connection (only recently)

Recently (i.e. over the past few weeks), my internet connection has become increasingly buggy. Examples: Spontaneous disconnection from Steam (handles game servers and the like). Messages sometimes not coming through on MSN. And webpages getting stuck while loading (they will say waiting for <website name> indefinitely). However, when i refresh the website afterwards, it will load fine. Images on a website taking forever to load, and often only coming up 50% of the time. Youtube videos buffering about 25%, then stopping. All these have only started in the recent past. I am using FireFox 3.6 and Windows XP, and am running on Virgin Broadband (~10mbps). Any ideas?
I've also started having a couple of internet troubles, when playing a game, it will usually disconnect itself for no reason.
Have you tried resetting your router?
Have you tried resetting your router?
Yeah, I have to do that every time it happens
Anything recent happened in your basement, check if the router is physically alright. [editline]02:55AM[/editline] Although this does solve the youtube videos, do they stop at exactly 25%?
Have you scanned for viruses?

Some of them don't however. It can be fixed by moving to point in which the player is forced to buffer the next bit. It's just annoying.
Have you scanned for viruses?
No, but i'm not sure this is the issue. It's happening on both my laptop and my desktop. This just in: Surprisingly, it only seems to happen with one person. Is there any way to test the connection? To see if it's my side or hers?
Maybe it's your line? Has it been raining over there?
Clear your cache, use Google Public DNS, Start > Run > CMD > ipconfig /flushdns, start browsing. Come back if you're still having issues.
Ermm... how is this going to stop messages not being sent or received on MSN? *EDIT* I have reason to believe that all of these have the same root cause.
