TwitchPlaysPokemon Stream aka Red Having A Stroke Simulator 2014

Now, I dunno if this is really the right place to post it, or if someone has already beaten me to the punch, but I'm sure most people would get a kick out of this:

Basically, someone on Twitch has set up a channel where you can input commands to play Pokemon Red/Blue.

Your usual commands work, like A/B/Up/Down/Left/Right/Start, things like Off, Reset, don't. Of course, that doesn't stop people from trying.

Now, you might think that all this is a novel idea, sending commands over Twitch to play Pokemon. Maybe even doing it with a small group of friends, or a little community of 180 people, as was the previous population.

Not only is this stream on the Twitch homepage, /v/'s found it and is running a thread or two on it.

This can only go downhill.

Aaand it's in slow-mode now.

They finally beat Misty, pretty amazing how they did it too. They used sand attack against staryu and he just couldnt hit anymore with his bubblebeam so when it came down to Charmander he just waited it out and scratched him to death. Holy shit now its up to 8.5k.

I wouldn't say that that is amazing, that's simple Pokemon tactics.

It's amazing they were able to coordinate it, however.
