I'm looking for a monitor with serious resolution, 1920x1080 probably, so I can retire part of my dual screen setup (turn my current 1440x900 screen into secondary (I expect it to die soon, it's got a few dead pixels out of nowhere) and put the displaced 1024x768 TFT into my spare monitor stash).
So, I'm looking for a high resolution monitor, but it doesn't need to have a huge size (In fact smaller is better, I don't have much deskspace), with DVI and VGA inputs.
Any reccomendations?
Anything with a good contrast ratio and is fast would make a good monitor
I believe the Asus monitors are pretty good, or Samsung.
Dell U2311H or U2211H, basically same screen at 23" and 21,5" respectivley.
Pretty much the best monitor you can get in the $300 and down price range today.
If you're in the UK:
I've been looking at one of these recently, it's a very good deal for an IPS, as they usually cost a lot more than that.

It seems to fit the bill.
If you're not in the UK however, I think you can get a similar deal elsewhere
I have a Samsung SyncMaster P2250, it's 21,5", has both DVI and VGA inputs, it's 1920x1080 and the image quality is great.
Got it from MediaMarkt, was cheap as hell

The last viewsonic monitor I owned melted itself to death, but I'll keep that one in mind, thanks.

it has the standard 170/160, I guess that's ok
Doesn't that mean there's only like 5 degrees on each side that you can't see in?
give us a budget

no not really, it's going to have color tinting just looking at it straight on. Within those 5 degrees it will be the most severe.
What is your budget?
Get one of those Samsung LED-Backlight monitors. They cost around $290 but I don't think it has a VGA input.
BenQ very good Monitor's
as long as it shows op's dog rape yiff shit in vibrant colours, it should be fine rite?
