BBC has a few blog sections for it's editors. This guy is a business editor for the BBC.

To be honest, if the requester was a commenter, it kind of makes sense to me.
Not that situation specifically, but I can see a lot of battle ground on forums that disallow edition/deletion of posts after a certain amount of time (and in which mods/admins won't take responsibility of). That, plus quotes by other users.
