I was building this: http://www.scan.co.uk/savedbasket/a99327f1dd284de99b7cff9cf3e429b8
But I have run into some money recently and I want to know how best to upgrade it.
I have os, monitor etc. If I want to stay nvidia for the gpu and I am keeping the scansecure, as this is my first build.
Help very much appreciated.
Replace 912 with the 932: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/coolermaster-haf932-black-high-air-flow-tower-case-w-o-psu
Replace 600cx with XFX 750w: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/750w-xfx-black-edition-modular-80-plus-silver-88-eff-sli-crossfire-eps-12v-135mm-fan
Replace 560 with 570: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1280mb-evga-gtx-570-40nm-3800mhz-gddr5-gpu-732mhz-shader-1464mhz-480-cores-dl-dvi-mhdmi
Something like ~£846.37 with VAT.
there's also http://www.scan.co.uk/products/fractal-design-define-xl-black-pearl-mid-tower-case-w-o-psu for the case, it's massively cheap right now (normally between 110-130 IIRC, maybe more)
I doubt that XFX PSU will come in stock, they've all been out for a couple of months now, so maybe swap it with http://www.scan.co.uk/products/850w-silverstone-striderplus-modular-80-plus-silver-88-eff-19db-sli-crossfire-eps-12v-135mm-fan (or the 750W version but this is only £7 more so whatever)
there's also http://www.scan.co.uk/products/4gb-%282x2gb%29-corsair-xms3-classic-ddr3-pc3-12800-%281600%29-non-ecc-unbuffered-cas-9-9-9-24-15v slightly faster for the same price
actually i would say go with everything reap suggested + a 570, comes to £852.42
I love you guys. I shall be ordering this evening!

I've made the changes you guys suggested, but now it comes to £877 if you include the £25 of scansecure. Considering that I've never even changed a stick of RAM before, would it be wise to remove the insurance?
The RAM should come with a manufacturer warranty that you can RMA via their site.
The website should also have a 30 day refund policy(?)
But what about all of the other expensive components, or is it really hard to actually break things.
You can do 570 SLI on 750w, it will work perfectly fine.
It's pretty hard to break things unless you intentionally do it or it's already DOA. Everything comes with a manufacturers warranty if the website doesn't provide it's own 30 Day RMA thing.
Ok, thanks for the help.

watch a few build guides on youtube, once you know the basics it's hard to fuck up because everything has it's place

yeah the only reason I stuck the 850w version in there was because there's only a small price difference, plus less load = cooler, quieter PSU
