• Will my PSU be able to run with these specs?

CPU: AMD Phenom 2 x4 (Quad Core) 955, 3,20 GHz GPU: ATi Radeon HD 4670. (1gb vram) 2 sticks of ddr3 ram. (2gb each.) 1 HDD, and one DVD/rw/CDRw combo drive. My PSU's a NetQ with 430 w. (24 ampere on the 12 volt rail.) So, will it be able to handle this without exploding/Causing the system to reboot/etc. etc. ? Also, I did Antec's "Power test", and entered the above specs. And according to that, the power consumption will lay around 320 w. when the system's working at 100%. I do not lay all of my trust on that, though.
With a quad core CPU you're probably very VERY borderline.
Easily. But I would get a new psu anyways cause NetQ seems shotty at best. [editline]01:19PM[/editline] This is complete powerusage with a Core 2 Quad Q9450

Worked fine with a Nvidia GeForce 7950GT.) However it's a Swedish brand, so that's probably why you've never heard of it.

[editline]01:29PM[/editline] Okay Rixxz2 I am going to have to take your word cause I can't find any reviews.

But anyways, it IS going to work? Because some people have told me I need a 500 watt PSU at the very least for a quad cored setup.
Sadly, NetQ is one of the lesser known brands.
Well if you find any link me up.
Well if you find any link me up.
To one of their PSU's? This is one of their 550 w. PSU's, and it's also on a very eyeraping webstore, but whatever. http://www.sdbdata.se/Shop/Index.php?sArtId=PSU-N550
To one of their PSU's?
For reviews I would also take a link to a psu to check them out.

The PSU you have will do fine, but if you wanna upgrade your GPU you will have to get a new one.
it will be fine also how much is 500kr in us dollars.
$70.74
$70.74
Yeah just found that out. So it should be fairly decent. [editline]01:53PM[/editline]
True. I'll probably buy a 800 watted PSU next year, together with two 5850's.
You don't need 800watts for crossfire 5850s.
True. I'll probably buy a 800 watted PSU next year, together with two 5850's.
You don't even need that much. 650 Watts will run any CrossFire setup right now.
Nah, I know. But that'll make it future-proof.
There is no thing as future proofing in computers also computer components should start using less power. But if you have the money go for it.
Nah, I know. But that'll make it future-proof.
Power consumption is going down. [editline]06:58PM[/editline] Dang. Beat me to the chase Bradford.
There is no thing as future proofing in computers also computer components should start using less power. But if you have the money go for it.
Not only that, I also just remembered that PSU's loses their power over the years... My 200w PSU probably were down to like, 100w after those 7 years. The system rebooted during heavy load, together with a smell of burnt colour :v: . ( Don't ask me why it smelled like that, it just did.)

You may want to get a more powerful one for some margin between max usage and max output.
