When I create a desktop icon from the steam window it shows a default windows icon instead of the artwork that should be there, and it makes my desktop look shitty as hell having all these default icons where the art should be.
This problem happens with hl2: ep1, hl2: ep2, CS, hl:source and portal 2,and probably more that I'm not using atm.
does this happen to anyone else? any way to fix this?
Use windows Vista or 7 and they will show up.
Change icon and browse to the game folder, i'm fairly certain that TF2 etc has its own icon in the folder.
1. Download a new icon
2. Set shortcut to use icon
3. ???
4. Profit
I got them working, I had to select > properties > change icon and browse my steam folders and found them
