Hey guys,
I got a new laptop for christmas. It has an onboard integrated Intel graphics processor as well as an Nvidia 350m. I've been having problems running programs fullscreen, mostly games with very low base resolution like 800x600. All of these games have fullscreen modes that have worked on other computers, and for a time it worked on this one. All of a sudden, when playing certain games fullscreen, the majority of the screen is black and the game plays in its tiny base resolution. For one game, putting it in "OpenGL mode" worked, but for the others there is no such option. I've looked in the control panel for the integrated and Nvidia cards and I can't find any options having to do with maintaining aspect ratio. For the Nvidia card's case, the only options in the control panel has to do with "3D options" and I can't find anything about normal computer shit like resolution or display options.
What should I do? My computer gives me the option of running a program using either graphics card, however both have the same problem. Is there a way, by chance, that I can force these programs to use only OpenGL or something?
I think you're looking for this:

It's in the nvidia control panel under something like displays or display scaling
The thing is my Nvidia control panel only has options for 3D rendering, and absolutely nothing else. I'm not sure why.
