• changing motherboards, but keeping the rest of the parts (except ram)

So I currently got a Fata1ity FP-IN9 SLI motherboard and Currently It only supports DDR2 ram, only of which I got 4 GB of ram and because I need a little more ram to make gaming better I need to upgrade it. DDR3 ram is cheaper than DDR2 but my motherboard cannot take DDR3 ram so I am looking to swap it out. But the new motherboard has to be compatible to the current parts I have in it. I currently have a Nvidia GTX 460 2gb DDR5 video card and a intel Q6700 quad at 2.66 Ghz with a 5.1 surround sound speaker set hooked up with it and a 24 inch AOC flat screen monitor, and my keyboard and mouse are both plugged in via USB ports. and I am currently running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. So I am a little lost on looking and shopping around with these specific requirements online. if you can link me to specific models or sites where I can easily find things to suit my needs Id appreciate it Price range I am looking for in the motherboard is around the 100-150$ price range.
I would say It's not worth it, you wont get much more performance from upgrading your RAM. You have a 'very' old and slow processor which is also the bottleneck.
Pepper;38995836']Save up and get a motherboard, cpu and ram combo.
where would be a good place to start then for that?
I guess that you are in the US?
Canada actually, in Quebec to be specific.
