It took them long enough to attach a fucking promotion to this card. I was pissed when I bought mine because I needed to buy a new card asap so I could give my brother mine for Christmas and I didn't have the money for a 1070 for the Gears of War promo.

I got Watchdogs 2 with my 1070, but I hate Uplay and the code didn't even work after I installed it so fuck promotions.

my 1070 was supposed to come with WD2 but I never got anything.
I ended up renting it for PS4, it's a great game, I might buy it when it's super cheap in the future but fuck uplay. I don't know why ubisoft insists on using it, at least origin is a good client, it's better than steam, it just lacks the library and all your friends. Uplay is a combination of the worst aspects of steam and origin but done worse

I picked the card I did cause it was supposed to come with a voucher for a free copy of either R6 Siege or the Assassin's Creed that came out that year and I never got it cause they told me they sold out. I was thinking what the fuck? You advertised it as coming with this shit, and then when you run out, you just say tough shit.
So yeah, fuck promos.

There was a similarly long window where gtx 1080s and 1070s didn't have a promo, either.

But the 1060 was out while they both started getting them. At the time, it was the only 10-series gpu that they weren't giving promos to. This is the first time I've heard of a 1060 deal
