nvidia had two other demos available for download ([url=http://www.nvidia.com/coolstuff/demos#!/box-of-smoke]here[/url] and [url=http://physxinfo.com/news/3049/nvidia-physx-fluid-demo-upgraded-to-ver-1-0-1-3/]here[/url]) that did fluid simulation in the past, but this is miles ahead in terms of how it looks
It still kinda looks like jelly in some cases but considering it's realtime I'm not complaining.
Yeah it still kinda looks like jelly or slime sometimes, which I think is due to the size of the little pellets they use "under the hood". I guess smaller pellets -> you need more to fill a given volume -> the engine and graphics card need to juggle more objects -> not really worth the performance drop.
I do wonder how just performance-heavy this simulation is and when we might see it actually implemented in games.
