• XFX Radeon HD 4870 fan makes clicking noise

Fairly new vid card not even 3 months old, the fan has stated making a clicking noise like its rubbing on the plastic cover, I have tried laying the comp on the side and using it that way but the fan wouldn't turn at all but then would finally start spinning but really slow wouldn't even speed up when I increased fan speed, I tried using the comp back vertically as normal but it did the same thing then flat out stopped spinning. I took the card out to look at it and the fan seems a little hard to turn by hand, there is no dust built up in it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150394
Look for something blocking the fan.
Warranty that bitch up then.
Check for blockage, no profit RMa with Warranty card at the ready.
I had that to. Guy at the pc shop raised the plastic cover a bit and now its fine.
Nothing is blocking the fan or anything, I have put it in a support ticket to xfx. Anyone know the normal temps for this card? I keeep the fan at 70 - 95% speed and the temp ranges from 48 - 67C
Those are normal but it sounds like there is something with the bearings of the fan.

Post a movie of the problem so we can hear it.
xfx is offering to send me a fan to replace the bad one, to replace then fan I have to take the cooler off the card, would I need to get new thermal pads or can I just use the the old thermal pads and put it back on?
