So glad they're finally doing this, maybe now quickplay won't be filled with Mercy players who just sit there and save their res the entire match, never doing anything useful with it.
Mercy is my most played character, this is a great change.
I never got any 4x or 5x res through with mercy because of my roots as TF2 medic.
Which (when my team wasn't utterly shit) means I always kept my team healthy over everything else
and resulted in my res just sitting there so I used it more 2x or 3x resurrections, because well, I kept my team healed up.
Sometimes I got screamed at for "wasting my ult" in situational res for two or three key heroes which would have meant a considerable push-back and potential loss of the round.
This is one of the greatest changes ever made as I can tell as a mercy main.
For my playstyle it is so much more versatile and the new ult is suited for so much more situations
and not having to constantly wonder when to to pop it in case another teammate dies or the team gets another wipe.
Mercy's resurrect was just bad design left as it was. It wasn't really fun to play hide n' seek until your time wipes nor was it all that fun to play against Mercy rushing in and instantaneously undoing your hard fought team wipe.
The one thing about it was that it made Mercy a comparatively very easy hero to play because all that's expected of you is hide->jump out->mash Q, so she was super popular to people that like the game but can't actually play it very well. Those are the people that are going to be really tilted by this.

I more often see no tanks than healers
I lost a few games y day just because of Mercy swooping in just to ult.
Granted I won a couple just because of it aswell, but goddamn, what a piss in the mud to be fighting, wiping out their team and then suddenly mercy comes back and LOL NOPE
