I got home from Thanksgiving vacation and went to turn on my computer. When I did, the computer would not start, but rather emit one extremely loud, continuous beep. This indicates a POST error, and I can find 30000 pages on what the beep means but not one on how to fix it.
This page seems to have what I'm looking for:

The "Continuous beep" says that is can be a power failure, a loose card, or a short.
I did take out both my CPU and GFX cards. In hindsight this was probably a bad idea.
Any help? Please?
You took out the CPU and GFX card before or after the problem?

After.
I found out I forgot to re-plug in the 6-pin power connector to my 9800GT. That fixed the beep, but now my computer will start up but not show anything on the screen. I can hear fans and the usual start up crap except for the beeps I usually hear which range in pitch
It also looks like my computer fan, the large one in the back is not turning at all.
Plug the AV cable to the monitor.
Did you forget to plug the monitor in aswell? ;)
Guys, I'm not retarded.
I reseated the battery, tried the CMOS jumper, and now the only step I haven't tried is to reseat every component in the PC.
Not. Good.

I fixed it!
I eventually said "Fuck it" and took everything out then put it back in, but it works now.
