[vid]http://files.facepunch.com/alex/2015-07-20_15-33-11.mp4[/vid]
I don't think you quite understand how much force there is in a crossbow, even one as tiny as that.
I love the car designs being shown! It reminds me of Mad Max
Whats wrong with the female model exactly? It doesn't look terrible.
It's amazing how much those new eyes take away the dead stare from the characters. Also, damn this is gonna change the game up a lot.
Oil? Large Furnace? Refineries? You hear that children? That's the sound of the North Dakotan flag waving in the wind [t]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/8a/Standard_of_the_Governor_of_North_Dakota.svg/513px-Standard_of_the_Governor_of_North_Dakota.svg.png[/t] Strength from the Soil!
I really like the new metal change. It makes the new melee weapons more viable.
Oh yeah, and if the Devs could possibly answer this: When exactly will we see the fishing traps being implemented, as well as fish all around? Would be good for coastline dwellers in desert biomes which have to put up with low animal spawns.
IMO it'd make more sense if the crossbow was more powerful but slower to reload than the bow
Just in case you're confused, I'm pretty sure they mean there's less drop on the projectile because it's moving faster, not that you can churn out arrows at your target faster. The bow in the game is already pretty powerful to be honest.
I think the big issue here is that small groups and solo players are getting super left behind. The server I play on (Rustralasia, the largest in Oceania) wipes weekly. Many others wipe bi-weekly. So we get a situation where unless you have a 15-person clan, you're gonna be playing for pretty much an entire weekend before you get to a point where you can gear up. That's a massive time investment, and if it's a weekly wipe then the opportunity for payoff is a couple of hours of weeknight gaming, if you can fit that in with real world responsibilities. I totally get that Rust isn't supposed to be a casual arcade game or arena shooter, but I feel we're swinging too far the other way, and the gameplay styles that are making it fun and exciting right now are getting pushed away for a different ideal that current players might not be onboard with. [editline]24th July 2015[/editline] I know there have been a whole lot of low-tier-gear updates recently that make melee and bow combat more accessible and exciting. The concern is that big groups that have got guns will pull ahead immediately and absolutely dominate much faster than they have been able to before
