Recently when I turn on my hp laptop it makes a really loud noise. I'm afraid to play the games I usually play on it for fear of it burning out or something. My guess is that it's the fan because it sounds like a whirring noise or something coming from the bottom of the computer. Any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
It's the cd tray.
I tried opening the cd tray and the noise continues.
Maybe somethings stuck in your fan. You could check on the hp website. They offer great support.
Open up laptop. Check for dust.
Has said laptop always made said noises?
No, it's usually been pretty quiet, but recently I've been having some problems ie it shutting down when I shut it rather than sleeping and the likes. Also I've used a compressed can of air on the keyboard and bottom of it multiple times.
Weird.
Is it really hot? Might just be a buildup of dust.
Where should I check? like in the fan area?
