That was brilliant, they just build up a shitload of hype with him walking out, walking around the shit, that helmet animation, the hangar bay door opening slowly revealing a beautiful space environment, then BOOM crash into an asteroid.
Then "HELMET! HELMET! HELMET!"
I wish he flew into the beam of light.
Visually the game is stunning, I just hope they can really deliver in the gameplay department on this. So much potential.

Man I miss crowd hype, it generally stopped around E3 '06 or '07. Smash Bros, Twilight Princess and Halo 3 come to mind; I don't know what it is but the crowd losing their minds gives me chills.

This. I don't really care if they are obnoxious. It's just that I can just imagine being in the scenario, it just sounds so fun!

Lots of things. It's a highly-immersive space sim with a huge living world, large amount of backstory and amazing graphics. You can do pretty much whatever you want and it will have both singleplayer and multiplayer.
After I upgrade my PC and buy this I'm totally going to dig my joystick out of my basement for full immersion.
