• Skyrim Multiplayer?

Ok, I wanted Elder Scrolls multiplayer since Morrowind. Wouldn't it be awesome if Bethesda came up with an Online Arena where you could battle each other and after the battle trade weapons/armor? Or maybe a free-roam with a max of 16 players where you can work together to do quests and form Guilds with other players or dominate going around killing everything you see. I have two questions right now: 1. Why can't Bethesda do this? 2. What are some other good ideas for multiplayer?
As cool as it could be, Bethesda probably won't ever do it
I guess it's because people say Skyrim is a "singleplayer" game, which instantly throws out any idea you have for multiplayer. I, for one, think a very simple cooperative game could work out just fine.
Something like Fable perhaps?
uh the combat is too shitty for an arena, and the game would have to be way simplified for co op
It's a possibility for a future title

No, they only make single player games. For good reason. Not every game needs to be multiplayer.

They've come to the conclusion that it wouldn't work too well. That being said, I think coop would be better suited to another IP of Bethesda, that being Fallout.
COOP would be hard to make, but think for a second about PvP... How great would it be if you step into the arena, wager some money, and try to beat the crap out of another actual player?
Yeah man pwning noobs with sweet headshots and getting the tactical dragon killstreak showing them scrubs
4 player coop would be cool. Any more and it would be bad. It could only work if it was you and a few other friends forming a group and doing shit.
Ironically, the first Elder Scrolls was only multiplayer.
Ironically, the first Elder Scrolls was only multiplayer.
no it wasnt
this has been the biggest question in all the previous three elder scrolls games each time it has been a no i know they made a mod that worked in oblivion for multi, but it was barebones. that means networking is at least possible so some of you programming inclined folks can get to work on a skyrim multi mod
Every thread I've seen from this guy has been fucking awful.
