So, Home vs Ultimate.
I just wanted to know what OS to go for, Ultimate is over twice the price of Home Premium.
Is Ultimate worth the money extra?
If you don't see yourself using the additional features, no.
Nope.
There's absolutely nothing most people need above home premium.
Go with home, I had Home Premium on my laptop when I bought it and used it for a bit. Then upgraded to Ultimate with the copy I got from holding a launch party and I really don't use any of the extra features.
Ultimate I would say is more for like small businesses.

Home Edition thus being used for home use.

Enterprise comes with free office chairs.

Well, here's the enterprise link.

I'm sure a small business wouldn't use most of it's features.

Since Ultimate and Enterprise are exactly the same, you've contradicted yourself.

How is it the same?
How is it the same?
Microsoft made it the same. Ultimate and Enterprise are identical to one another. The only reason there are two is that Ultimate is for consumers and the other is for businesses. Same exact OS. Different licensing.
Why different names then?
Did you read his post at all? Keyword: licensing.

yep, he edited his post.
Home Premium is fine.
Personally, i needed professional. If you use a home domain or need remote desktop support, go pro. Other than that, HP.
Media Center.
Media Center.
Comes in both.
No, get professional.
I use Ultimate since I fix computer systems. I need every tool at my disposal, whether I use it or not.

You know what's funny. Imagine a group of people having a conversation in real life and then a year and a half later some guy just decides to bring it up again for a one line opinion.

Enterprise has long-term update support as well.
