Windows Explorer freezes when renaming certain .wav files

I exported several sound files from Killing Floor into a folder to use as a TF2 Pyro sound replacement, and when I try to rename certain files, it'll hang as soon as I press enter, eventually crashing and forcing me to restart explorer. I can play them fine, but I can't rename them at all.

Im guessing the hard drive is dying, try deleting the files and re-copying them, hopefully they'll get copied to another (good) sector of the drive.

If it still crashes it's probably software related, try renaming them through command line. (start->run->cmd.exe).
