Mac to TV and Keyboard to Mac

I have a 2009 Macbook Pro, what cables or adapters do I need to connect it to a TV?
Also, how can I connect a keyboard with the mac so I can use it in garageband, for example?

A keyboard would connect the same way you would connect one to a desktop. Macbooks obviously do not have PS/2 ports so you would have to either use an Apple Wireless Keyboard, or any USB one you may have around.
