Honestly The Walking Dead is my favorite game because it so easy to get immersed and try to play it like you were in that position. You can't just stand there and think about your actions either, you are forced to do the right thing as you perceive it in that short window of time your given.
Another thing I like about TWD is the fact you don't change the world, but the world changes you as you continue the story. Not to mention the fact that since there's "one" storyline people aren't going to try and say which is the better ending. It's the journey of the story, not the destination.
This is great, video games should be used in education a lot more.
Only other example of video games being used in education currently is a few schools used Minecraft to teach kids about working together and things like that.
why did i click that video expecting to understand any of it?
I always like hearing about stuff like this, video games becoming more widespread than just for entertainment purposes is cool.

Enable subtitles.
It literally says in the article and in an annotation in the video that it has english subtitles.
"no matter which (largely arbitrary) choice you make you only have a minimal effect on the world" might not be the best ethics lesson
TWD had a decent plot but I wish we'd stop pretending changing a few nouns based on your actions is the pinnacle of interactive story telling. Choose-your-own-adventure books have more weight behind your choices.

the point of the class is the debate that arises from the choices which he uses to introduce different models of ethics. this isn't a game critique class.

ah, the video wasn't loading for me before but now it works and I've watched it. I just assumed they were assigned to play the game.
This is the only game that ever made me feel about about making a decision.
I can imagine, that schools will be full of fun, and feel less of a prison. Virtual Reality Schools that teaches people world history, giving people a realistic feel of what happen during the past, almost close to assassin's creed but without the fictional templars and assassin's and other fictional things. I can see that music and art going to be a big hit, when the virtual playground of set objectives that we can do, or play certain games that tells a story using the use of art, some thing with music. More logical puzzle thinking to help reach certain objectives, which will be great for science when you attempt to see how far you can recreate earth, to experiment alot of things during chemistry lessons, and to teach people the dangers of explosives and many things.
Video Games will be soon our future of education, while we still imagine that schools these days will use holo-panel desk and holo-grams, inside white plated floors and walls, with sound proof window, as teachers teaching kids our own college classes of today of astrophysics and Cosmos science, i think our future will end up teaching us via the use of video games.
I'm wondering if [sp]not taking the pocket watch will have any effect in season 2[/sp]
Can't wait for the second episode, first was great.
This is really exciting. This kind of thing is slowly becoming more common. Once, a physics teacher let my little brother boot up Portal to show the class an example of momentum.

Sex Education.
Could never finish episode 3 after a bug in the game caused me to crash, and lose an hours worth of progress during a really slow/dull part. The worst thing about this game by far was bad checkpointing.
I've never been able to enjoy the first season and I don't know if I ever will, because after I launched the game again when I was about halfway through it, the save just didn't want to load, and if I play all of it back I'd feel like I'd be making cheaty informed decisions catching up on my first playthrough.
I really wish I could play the game for the first time again.
