• Is using custom content against copyright?

For example in my server if i use a doom3 playermodel, is that against copyright infringement?

I seriously doubt that, and if anything, the one who ported the model would be infringing the copyright I think, but also I don't think the creator of the model would really care much but it depends.
Technically? Yes - you did not pay a license to display their IP in a public environment. Realistically? No - never enforced and would likely only be a problem if you sold the model for money.
Everything is copyright infringement. Its nearing a level of ridiculousness where you could be sued for using the letter A without permission. I think about half the avatars on FP is infringing some sort of copyright.

If the copyright overlords could pull it off breathing would be against copyright law...
