Wait, hasn't crackdown 3 been delayed like 3 times now? How long has it really been?
The original Crackdown was fantastic, keys to the city really made it fun to play with friends just doing random stuff for hours on end. Crackdown 2 was OK for me but a bit of a letdown if I'm honest, I managed to complete it and get bored(?) within a week, thankfully I rented it for £6 from blockbuster at the time. :v:
Watch it as they eventually cancel this like Scalebound

Crackdown 1 had the coolest representation of leveling up in any video game. Your character got much more buff when your strength increased, your outfit changed when you increased your agility, Agency vehicles transformed more when your driving skill went up, you had that cool floating shockwave effect. They took out the transforming cars, outfits being updated and all the different characters from 2. Other than having some new abilities and 4-player co-op over 2-player, 2 was inferior to the first.

At this point they've invested way too much to just abandon ship and lose all hope of any break even point
with this project being lead by Dave Jones I can honestly say Im not surprised.

God I loved the transforming cars.
The frickin' SUV that could climb up walls was the best.

Crackdown 2 was a lesser game for the removal of those vehicles
If Crackdown 3 doesn't have them, I might not be feeling it.
Considering this was supposed to be a launch title for Xbox One (if I recall correctly) its beyond time for it to come out.
Does anyone really want this kind of game in 2018 though?
this game aint coming out in our lifetime
i know "no games" is kind of a meme but the xbox one really has no worthwhile exclusives i can think of, and i have one

This is on PC anyways
They hired an entirely separate studio to make a single player campaign that doesn't use the multiplayer destruction.
My bet is that this will release without multiplayer. They're just pushing it back hoping to make the single player good enough to sell a few copies.

Microsoft's whole thing these days is that they don't want Xbox exclusives, they want Microsoft exclusives. So they'll happily have a game be on PC and Xbox, though their own releases are (initially) W10 exclusive.
Except Halo, they can't allow Halo off the Xbox.
Unless this game ends up being the spirital sucessor to red faction guerilla, I dont think a lot of people are going to care for it. Its basically just cause minus the grapple. The destruction system is the only thing seperating this from another saints row game.
