I just bought a pair of Philips headphones, model SHL2605 I didn't notice these appear to have been designed for use with phones [sp]fucking why, they're huge[/sp] on my phone it sounds great but on my PC it sounds like ass unless i hold down the mic button is there a way to fix this, other than taping the button in or something?
Get a 4pol to 3pol adapter, PC's usually don't have a 4pol audio port [editline]19th May 2017[/editline] Hold on actually, where do you even plug them in so that you get sound and mic in?

The headphones use a 3.5mm jack, plugged into the headphone jack on the speaker controls (Logitech speakers) Temporarily "fixed" it by tying a rubber band around the button
4 pole is fairly common on laptops.
My laptop has that too but as said in the OP a PC is used so that's confusing [editline]19th May 2017[/editline]
The headphones use a 3.5mm jack, plugged into the headphone jack on the speaker controls (Logitech speakers) Temporarily "fixed" it by tying a rubber band around the button
That's even more confusing, how is the microphone working at all

Also the make and model of your motherboard and sound card if possible.
