Well, I just ordered some parts off newegg.ca. I figure I might aswell log my progress on Facepunch since I have nothing else productive to do over the holidays.I will include pictures, what I did, how I did, what came in the boxes etc. Hopefully it will help someone or interest somebody. Anyway here are the parts I ordered, I already own a optical drive and a primary hard disk which will be used as a secondary once I get the Samsung F3. [del] I was a little dissapointed after I purchased the TA880GB+ motherboard by Biostar, I found out that it did not have a single IDE connector! I guess I'll be scrapping one of my DVD burners, it was a decent burner aswell. I was surprised it did not have a floppy connector on the motherboard aswell. That got rid of my plans to include a floppy drive in my build. I don't know, unless somebody can find a SATA2 FDD.[/del] Now I guess I wait for the stuff to arrive. After being such a derp for the last two days in picking my parts... Total cost is around $460. But keep in mind that includes harmonized sales tax ( B.C. %12 of total ), shipping. [del] I did manage to get the CPU and Motherboard in a combo deal though. Saved $20.[/del] :siren: Status: Processing order.. humm... I called the credit card company hopefully I got this shit finally worked out with neweggs crappy policies. :( if not just more fees for me. forgive me for neweggs bad service. just more delays. come on guys, catch some snow flakes while we wait for newegg to process this order
Wow, Newegg wont ship to me because my credit card address differs from my shipping address.
How did this happen?
How did this happen?
student?
student?
Shit.
Might be fixed. Alright now to wait for Newegg verification center people to do their thing. I called them and sorted some stuff out. I think I got it fixed but lets wait for monday. Honestly I'll be glad if the parts all come before christmas. Because, newegg.ca takes 4 days? to ship to Canada and the holiday rush is on. I'm not sure if Christmas eve is a holiday, I hope its not so I get my stuff on friday. [editline]19th December 2010[/editline] I'll include benchmarks for newer games with the system incase anybody else is looking at the rig I'm getting. I honestly think I'll get a decent FPS with Crysis on High. [editline]19th December 2010[/editline]
How did this happen?
Credit card had a different address then my shipping address because I moved recently. Changed it to new address. Lets hope the changes take place on weekends.
Updated the main thread, added more bang to the builds preformance. Listen, I don't know why some of you hate FSP. But I'll fucking track you down and kill you. Also, if you buy a drive just for SATAIII, I highly doubt that 7,200RPM = 6.0GB/s
SATA3 is 6Gbps, SATA2 is what everyone's been using the past few years.
SATA3 is 6Gbps, SATA2 is what everyone's been using the past few years.
Wait a minute. Yep you're right. How could I have forgotten this shit! Serial ATA 1.5, 3.0, 6.0 Gbit/s. It's 1 am fuck my life I'm going to bed.
