What the hell. That's unexpected.
I for some reason can't believe this is a good thing.
Haha, very funny guys. Nice early April fools joke.
part of me wants to hope that this will only lead to virtual reality for non-gaming things
uh what
Thanks you guys for taking your innovation and shoving it down the shitter for money.
Is facepunch ready for the NEWEST AND COOLEST FARMVILLE

No serious Mark Zuckerberg go fuck yourself
This is not what I backed the kickstarter for :(
“Mobile is the platform of today, and now we’re also getting ready for the platforms of tomorrow,” Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said
The fact that he mentioned mobile worries me.

really
this isn't going to change anything they're doing. they still work independant, so facebook shouldn't be breathing down their neck.

If mobile is the future then why does the fucking Facebook mobile app suck donkey balls

mobile may be the "future" but it's a really, really, really really really really far away future.
Great.....they'll be able to make vr facebook games...
VR Farmville and VR Candycrush
this better not result in stupid and unnecessary "social networking" components duck taped onto the rift. that would really just be a shame.
Facebook seems to be doing a lot of things where they will just buy out companies and then leave them be just so they can gain some extra revenue.
I honestly don't see anyway how Facebook could possibly bend the Oculus to their agenda, so I'm going to take Zuck's word for it that they are being left to operate independently.
You can't make it to 500 anime sex simulators without making a few Farmville clones.
Will probably change nothing about the OR itself but it's cute that people think it will.

Jesus, at least read the quote... He's saying that mobile is the dominant platform NOW which is very true. Everyone has mobile phones, they use them to call, text, browse the web, play some games and more. Then he goes on to imply that VR is the platform of the future and they are "preparing for the platform of tomorrow"(ie the future). Nowhere in that quote did he even remotely imply that mobile is the future. How do you even miss read that?
