My Media Center can be put to sleep from the Microsoft wireless keyboard or remote but you can't wake it up from them.
In the BIOS the system is set to supply power to USB while sleeping in S3 mode.
I also checked powerconfig /devicequery S3_supported and reports back that devices Microsoft eHome Remote Control Keyboard Keys, MCIR Keyboard, and eHome Infrared Receiver are present and supported. The receiver is also directly connected to a USB port on the back that IS supplying power when the system is sleeping.
If I check powercfg /devicequery wake_armed it tells me nothing is able to wake the system. That means I can wake the system using the button on my wireless keyboard or remote just by entering powercfg /deviceenablewake "eHome Infrared Receiver (001)" but it says Invalid Parameters so apparently my syntax is wrong but I'm not sure where.
Any help on this?
Is the reciever recieving power when in standby? Check device manager for the reciever, and under power options make sure that "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is unchecked.
Power Management tab is not available for the receiver. I can confirm however that the USB port is outputting +5V.
See if the receiver can wake it from S1 mode.
