This leaves me a little bit worried tbh. I wonder what decisions this guy made for Diablo III.
Sounds like he's lost interest in the Diablo franchise so it's good he moved on to other things. If you're not interested, you won't give it your all.
This is pretty bad news tbh, Alex picked up the gigantic mess that Jay Wilson left behind and helped forge D3 into RoS and most of the new ideas that became features were from him, this leaves D3 in a dark place with no leadership with a drive to see D3 Succeed.
Maybe that's why he left. Had enough trying to pick up all the broken pieces left over from Jay. He's made excellent progress don't get me wrong, but you can only do so much before you just say "fuck it".

These two people are, obviously, completely different and they both have, or had, completely different jobs.
Jay Wilson is responsible for the terrible piece of shit that D3 vanilla was. Josh Mosquiera, the previous director of the console ports of D3, became director completely after Jay Wilson stepped down. He was responsible for RoS which made D3 so much more enjoyable.
Umm, no?
Is it the other way around? didn't follow the d3 trainwreck much but coulda been sure this was the guy that was around with the overhaul patch.
Umm, no?
[del]Uh yes? Jay Wilson is (mostly) responsible for the disaster, Blizzard saw what an idiot he was, and was then replaced.[/del] Nevermind got blinded by my hateboner for Wilson and completely missed the thread of the argument.
