Some folder called .assistant in my user folder.

I put it in the recycling bin and nothing broke.

It might take some time to show up if it belongs to a program that you don't use often, or the program might recreate it. My guess is it's part of some cross-platform program, since putting a . in front of a folder name makes it hidden in Linux IIRC.
